BoldHorn makes leather wallets in Pakistan and sells them straight to the people who carry them. No importer, no mall markup, no marketplace listing dressed up as a brand.
We work out of a small workshop in S.I.T.E Area, Hyderabad, in batches of a few dozen at a time. Every wallet is checked by hand before it goes in a box. That is also why a colour occasionally runs out, and why the one you receive will not be identical to the one in the photograph.
Why we started
Walk into any market in Pakistan and you can buy a wallet for Rs 500. It will be bonded scrap or coated split — leather dust glued onto a backing — and it will peel within a year. Walk into a mall and the imported one is Rs 12,000, most of which is the badge and the duty.
Almost nothing sat in between: real hide, stitched properly, at a price a working person can justify. That gap is the whole reason this exists. Our wallets run Rs 2,751 to Rs 3,791, delivered free, paid at your door.
The leather
Seven of our eight wallets are Crazy Horse — a full-grain hide finished with a heavy wax. It arrives already carrying the marks the animal did, and it is built to take more. Press a scuff with your thumb and the wax usually closes over it. Six months in, the colour will have deepened where your hand sits and the corners will have gone darker than the panels. That is the material working, and it is the reason we chose it.
If you would rather a wallet that looks the same in a year as it did on the first day, buy The Saddle. It is smooth finished leather, sealed, and it stays put. It is the one wallet in the range that does not change, and we say so on its page.
What we publish
Every product page carries the card count, the cash compartments, and the size closed and opened flat, in centimetres, measured by hand to about half a centimetre. The photographs are of real stock on a real table — no renders, no borrowed catalogue images.
Where a wallet has a limit, we print the limit. The Purser has three card slots, and the page says three. If a wallet is not right for what you carry, we would rather you knew before you ordered.
Seven days to decide
If the wallet is not right, send it back unused and in its box within seven days of delivery and we refund you. You arrange and pay the return delivery, unless it arrived faulty, damaged or is not what you ordered — in that case we pay both ways.
We would rather answer a question before you order than take a return afterwards. If you are unsure which one suits what you carry, message us and we will tell you straight, even when the answer is that none of them do.
Cash on delivery, and why we ring you first
You pay the courier when the parcel is in your hand. Nothing is taken before that.
We telephone every customer to confirm the order and the address before the parcel leaves us. It takes a minute, and it is the single thing that stops parcels going to the wrong street. If we cannot reach you after three attempts across two days, we cancel the order and nothing is charged.
